Benedictus Deus

Benedictum Nomen Sanctum eius

He that is mighty hath done great things to me

Last night I had the good fortune to be able to attend the Mater Ecclesiae Mass of thanksgiving at the cathedral of the Camden NJ diocese. It was a truly beautiful event, and an instance of giving God our very best. Many people sacrifice a great deal of time, money, and effort to make this happen. The orchestra, the choir, the schola were all magnificent.   This annual mass must be one of the brightest liturgical gems in America. The recent release of Summorum Pontificum only makes it that much sweeter.  All I can really say about is:

My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior… For He that is mighty hath done great things to me, and holy is His Name. And His Mercy is from generation unto generations upon them that fear Him.
